§ 601.008

(a) A person commits an offense if the person violates a provision of this chapter for which a penalty is not otherwise provided.(b) An offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by:(1) a fine not to exceed $500;(2) confinement in county jail for a term not to exceed 90 days; or(3) both the fine and the confinement.
