§ 601.085

(a) If an insurer has certified a policy under Section 601.083 or 601.084, the policy may not be terminated before the sixth day after the date a notice of the termination is received by the department except as provided by Subsection (b).(b) A policy that is obtained and certified terminates a previously certified policy on the effective date of the certification of a subsequent policy.
