Texas Legal Code
(a) The department may allow a judgment debtor's driver's license and vehicle registrations or nonresident's operating privilege to continue, notwithstanding Section 601.332, if:(1) the judgment creditor consents to the continuation in writing in the form prescribed by the department; and(2) the judgment debtor provides evidence of financial responsibility to the department.(b) Continuation of a judgment debtor's driver's license and vehicle registrations or nonresident's operating privilege expires on the later of:(1) the date the consent of the judgment creditor is revoked in writing; or(2) the expiration of six months after the effective date of the consent.(c) Subsection (b) applies notwithstanding default in the payment of the judgment or any installments to be made under Section 601.335.
