(a) The commission by rule shall establish minimum curriculum standards for courses provided under the motorcycle operator training and safety program.(b) The department shall approve all courses that meet the curriculum standards established under Subsection (a).(c) In establishing the minimum curriculum standards for entry-level courses, the commission shall consider the standards for motorcycle operator training and safety courses adopted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
