Definitions For the purposes of this subchapter, the following words and phrases have the meanings ascribed to them in this section: (1) 'Sending agency' means any department or agency of the federal government or a state government which sends any employee thereof to another government agency under this subchapter. (2) 'Receiving agency' means any department or agency of the federal government or a state government which receives an employee of another government under this subchapter.
