S.A. § 166, the Secretary with the approval of the Governor may convey, exchange, sell, or lease lands of the Department of Fish and Wildlife for one or more of the following purposes: (1) resolving trespass issues and implementing boundary line adjustments and right-of-way and deed corrections, provided that the transfers are advantageous to the State; (2) implementing the acquisition of new lands for conservation and public recreation when, in his or her judgment, it is advantageous to the State. (b) The lease, sale, or exchange of lands under this section shall not include oil and gas leases and shall not be contrary to the terms of any contract that has been entered into by the State.
