Relation to other laws; local ordinances (a) This chapter shall not supersede the provisions of any local ordinances whose requirements are more strict than those of this chapter, and not inconsistent therewith, whether those ordinances were enacted before or after the effective date of this chapter. (b) The provisions of this chapter with respect to sign control are not exclusive of any rights or remedies provided the Agency of Transportation and the legislative bodies of municipalities, in their respective jurisdictions, by Title 19, any other statute, municipal charter or ordinance, the doctrines of equity, or the common law.
