Failure of defendant to appear; consequence In an action for an accounting, if a verdict is found against the defendant or if he or she does not appear, or appearing confesses that he or she ought to account, the court shall render judgment that he or she account. (Amended 1971, No. 185 (Adj. Sess.), § 118, eff. March 29, 1972.)

§ 4253.
