Discretionary disqualifications and mandatory sanctions not subject to order of limited relief or certificate of restoration of rights (a) An order of limited relief or certificate of restoration of rights may not be issued to relieve the following mandatory sanctions: (1) requirements imposed by chapter 167, subchapter 3 of this title (sex offender registration; law enforcement notification); (2) a motor vehicle license suspension, revocation, limitation, or ineligibility pursuant to Title 23 for which restoration or relief is available; or (3) ineligibility for employment by law enforcement agencies, including the Office of the Attorney General, State’s Attorney, police departments, sheriff’s departments, State Police, or the Department of Corrections. (b) An order of limited relief or certificate of restoration of rights may not be issued to relieve a discretionary disqualification or mandatory sanction imposed due to: (1) a conviction of a listed crime as defined in section 5301 of this title; or(2) a conviction of trafficking of regulated drugs pursuant to 18 V.S.A. chapter 84.
