Attempts A person who willfully and maliciously throws into, against, or upon, or puts, places, or explodes, or causes to be exploded, in, upon, or near a dwelling house, office, shop, building, ship, vessel, or any dam or reservoir for storing water, gunpowder or other explosive substance, or a bombshell, torpedo, or other instrument filled or loaded with an explosive substance, with intent unlawfully to destroy or injure such dwelling house, office, shop, building, ship, vessel, or any dam or reservoir for storing water, or any person or property therein, shall be imprisoned not more than 10 years or fined not more than $500.00, or both.
