(2) The name of a candidate who has withdrawn in accordance with the provisions of this subsection shall not be printed on the ballot. (b) After the date described in subdivision (a)(1) of this section, if the candidate has filed a written notice of withdrawal, the town clerk or Secretary of State may still remove the candidate’s name from the ballot up until the printing deadline.
