Compatibility with national system; authority to enter into DNA identification index system agreements with state, federal, and foreign jurisdictions The DNA database system established by the State shall be compatible with the FBI’s national DNA identification index system currently referred to as CODIS. The State may enter into any agreement with a state, federal, or foreign law enforcement agency that provides for participation in a state, federal, or foreign DNA identification index system, including CODIS, provided that the agreements shall be consistent in all material respects with this subchapter.
