Department of Buildings and General Services Unless otherwise directed by the General Assembly, the Commissioner of Buildings and General Services, after consultation with and concurrence of the Board, shall: (1) supervise the engineering, construction, improvement, repair, alteration, demolition, and replacement of and addition to buildings, structures, and facilities of the Home; and (2) solicit bids and award contracts for the performance of engineering services for specific projects at the Home.
