Operations rules as between vessels (a) When two motorboats are approaching each other 'head on' or in a manner so as to involve risk of collision, each motorboat shall bear to the right and pass the other motorboat on its left side. (b) When two vessels approach each other obliquely or at right angles, the vessel approaching on the right side should maintain its course and speed. (c) A vessel may overtake another vessel on either side but must be prepared to take early and substantial action to avoid collision. The vessel being overtaken should maintain its course and speed. (d) The U.S. Coast Guard Inland Navigation Rules, 33 C.F.R. Part 83, as may be amended, are hereby adopted as the operative rules for Lake Champlain, Lake Memphremagog, and Wallace Pond in Canaan.
