Surety bonds All City officers and employees, as directed by the City Council, shall annually give bonds to the satisfaction of the Council for the faithful discharge of their duties, the premiums of which shall be paid by the City. In the event any officer or employee neglects to give a bond as herein specified, after 10 days’ notice from the City Council that a bond is required, the office shall thereupon become vacant, and the vacancy shall be filled as provided in this charter. § 605.
