Competency to act as legal or public safety officer No person being a resident or taxpayer of said corporation shall thereby be deemed incompetent to act as judge, justice, juror, sheriff, deputy sheriff, constable, or police officer in any matter, cause, or proceeding in which said corporation shall be interested.
