It shall also appoint a Chief and two assistant engineers of the Fire Department, and may appoint a Highway Superintendent and a Sewer Commissioner. All officers appointed by the Board shall be under its direction and control and may be removed at its discretion. The Board shall cause a certificate of such appointment or removal to be recorded in the office of the Village Clerk. Any vacancy in an appointive office may be filled by the Board at any time.
