§ 14

Hook and ladder company The trustees of the Village may organize one fire and hook and ladder company in the Village, for the purpose of preventing fires, and at the expense of the Village may purchase a fire engine and other necessary implements; provided, the corporation shall so direct by vote at a meeting duly called for that purpose.
