Annual local education spending The City Council and the City Chief Administrative Officer shall comply with the requirements of section 168 of this charter and the Equal Educational Opportunity Act of 1997, including specifically the requirements of 16 V.S.A. § 428, as the same has been and may be amended, with respect to billing property taxpayers following the adoption of a budget for 'Local Education Spending' as defined in 16 V.S.A. § 11(a)(29) and the calculation of the equalized yield amount pursuant to such act.
