Powers; duties; liabilities; etc The City Grand Juror shall have the same powers, perform the same duties, and incur the same liabilities as grand jurors in towns, and shall be entitled to such salary as the City Council may vote, and as the City Attorney may request, a City Grand Juror may prosecute before the applicable Vermont courts violations of the ordinances, regulations, and bylaws of said City. The Second City Grand Juror in case the City Grand Juror is absent from the City or is disqualified or unable to serve shall have the same powers, perform the same duties, and incur the same liabilities as the City Grand Juror, and shall receive for his or her services such compensation as the City Council may provide.
