The selectboard of each member municipality shall appoint a representative who shall be a member of the selectboard or a designee if all members of the selectboard decline to serve. The representatives of the City of Rutland shall be: (1) the Mayor or a designee appointed by the Mayor;(2) an alderman appointed by resolution of the Board of Aldermen; and(3) a resident of the City of Rutland appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Board of Aldermen according to the procedures for confirmation of appointments set forth in chapter 9, section 15.04 of this title (City of Rutland charter).
