Powers and duties The City Assessor, elected for a term of two years, shall have the same powers, discharge the same duties, proceed in the discharge thereof in the same manner, and be subjected to the same liabilities as are prescribed for listers, except as herein otherwise provided. The Assessor shall also be a member of the Board for the Abatement of Taxes, and shall perform such additional duties as are prescribed for the Assessor under the ordinances.
