Bennington The County of Bennington is formed of the towns of Arlington, Bennington, Dorset, Landgrove, Manchester, Peru, Pownal, Readsboro, Rupert, Sandgate, Searsburg, Shaftsbury, Stamford, Sunderland, Winhall, Woodford, and the unorganized township of Glastenbury. Bennington and Manchester are the shire towns.
