Right to recover expenses for emergency services A municipal, county, or State entity that deploys police, fire, ambulance, rescue, or other services to aid an operator of a vehicle who is stranded due to a violation of 23 V.S.A. § 1006b, 1112, or 1434(c) or to move a vehicle that is disabled due to a violation of 23 V.S.A. § 1006b, 1112, or 1434(c) may recover in civil action the costs of providing services from the operator or the operator’s employer, provided that the operator was acting during or incidental to the operator’s scope of employment.
