Participants (a) No individual shall participate, either directly or indirectly, as a participant in a mixed martial arts event, including a sole match, in the State without first having obtained a license from the Office. (b) A fee may be assessed for a participant license in accordance with section 6033 of this subchapter. (c) Every participant licensed in accordance with this subchapter shall be subject to the rules adopted by the Director. (1) An individual who wants to be licensed under this section shall apply for a participant license in the manner specified by the Director in rules adopted in accordance with this subchapter, accompanied by payment of the required fee. (2) Licenses shall be renewed every two years on a date set by the Director in rules adopted in accordance with this subchapter. Licensees shall be subject to the provisions of this subchapter and to all rules adopted in accordance with this subchapter. (Added 2021, No. 69, § 15.)
