Prohibition; penalties (a) A person shall not perform either of the following acts:(1) practice or attempt to practice alcohol and drug abuse counseling without a valid license issued in accordance with this chapter, except as otherwise provided in section 3233 of this chapter; or (2) use in connection with the person’s name any letters, words, or insignia indicating or implying that the person is an alcohol and drug abuse counselor, unless the person is licensed or certified in accordance with this chapter. (b) A person who violates any of the provisions of this section shall be subject to the penalties provided in 3 V.S.A. § 127. (Added 2013, No. 131 (Adj. Sess.), § 129, eff.
