Record of assignment by landlord An assignment of or any agreement affecting the rights or interest of a landlord or owner of real property occupied by a tenant or sharecropper shall be recorded in the land records of the town in which the property is situated. If not so recorded, the same shall bind only the parties to the assignment. (Amended 2023, No. 6, § 332, eff. July 1, 2023.)
