Historic site markers program A program for the erection of historic site markers is created within the Agency of Commerce and Community Development and shall be administered by the State Historic Preservation Officer. The Preservation Officer shall oversee the erection, restoration, and maintenance of historic site markers. In performing these duties, the Preservation Officer shall consult with the Vermont Historical Society, the University of Vermont Historic Preservation Program, the Preservation Trust of Vermont, and other similar entities.
