(2) 'Cable television system' means facilities by which television signals are received at a central location and for consideration are transmitted to customers or subscribers by means of cables or wires. (3) 'Company' or 'companies' means persons, partnerships, associations, corporations, including a municipality authorized under section 513 of this title, owning or operating a cable television system, except nonprofit systems serving fewer than 100 subscribers.
