Housing projects for low- and moderate-income occupants A municipality may vote at any regular or special meeting to exempt, in full or in part, for a term not to exceed 40 years, a federally subsidized low- or moderate-income housing project from education property tax if federal assistance would not be available in the absence of such an exemption.
