Illegal fees A judge or register of Probate who directly or indirectly accepts or receives, under color of his or her office, money or other valuable thing, by way of fees, remuneration, or compensation for the performance of an act as such judge or register, except as provided in this title, shall be fined not more than $500.00 nor less than $200.00.
