Venue and change of venue (a) Proceedings under the juvenile judicial proceedings chapters may be commenced in the county where: (1) the child is domiciled;(2) the acts constituting the alleged delinquency occurred; or(3) the child is present when the proceedings commenced, if it is alleged that a child is in need of care or supervision. (b) If a child or a parent, guardian, or custodian changes domicile during the course of a proceeding under the juvenile judicial proceedings chapters or if the petition is not brought in the county in which the child is domiciled, the court may change venue upon the motion of a party or its own motion, taking into consideration the domicile of the child and the convenience of the parties and witnesses.
