Appeal; bond If a claimant elects to appeal from the judgment of the court under this chapter, the court may require that he or she give security by posting a bond to the State, in a sufficient sum, as the court directs, conditioned on the claimant’s prosecuting his or her appeal to effect and paying the costs awarded against him or her.
