U.S. Virgin Islands § 121 — U.S. Virgin Islands law

As used in this chapter, unless it is otherwise provided or the context requires a different construction, application, or meaning:\n(a) 'Employee' means a person who performs a service for wages or other remuneration under a contract of hire, written or oral, express or implied. 'Employee' includes a person employed by the Government of the United States Virgin Islands.\n(b) 'Employer' means a person who has one or more employees. Employer includes an agent of an employer and the Government of the United States Virgin Islands.\n(c) 'Person' means an individual, sole proprietorship, corporation, association, or any other legal entity.\n(d) 'Public body' means all of the following:\n(1) a territorial officer, employee, agency, department, division, bureau, board, commission, council, authority, or other body in the executive branch of the territorial government;\n(2) an agency, board, commission, council, member, or employee of the legislative branch of the territorial government;\n(3) any other body which is created by the territory or which is primarily funded by or through territorial authority, or any member or employee of that body;\n(4) a law enforcement agency or any member
