Whoever—\n(1) possesses, transports, purchases, deer or deer meat which was not taken in accordance with the provisions of this chapter; or\n(2) assists in any way in the hunting or capturing of deer in violation of any provision of this chapter—\nshall be fined not more than $100 or imprisoned not more than 60 days, or both.
