U.S. Virgin Islands § 219 — U.S. Virgin Islands law

(a) Nothing herein contained shall be construed to abridge or alter rights of action or remedies in equity or under the common law or statutory law, criminal or civil, nor shall any provision of this chapter, or any act done by virtue thereof, be construed as estopping the United States Virgin Islands, or any person, in the exercise of their rights in equity or under the common law or statutory law to suppress nuisances or to abate pollution.\n(b) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to abridge, limit or otherwise impair the right of any person to damages or other relief on account of injury to persons or property and to maintain any action or other appropriate proceeding therefor.
