U.S. Virgin Islands § 2101 — U.S. Virgin Islands law

Any person who buys, receives or possesses any property which has been obtained in any unlawful manner, knowing or having cause to believe the property to have been so unlawfully obtained, or who conceals, sells, withholds or aids in concealing, selling, or withholding any such property from the owner, knowing or having cause to believe the property to be so stolen or illegally obtained shall—\n(a) if the property received, bought or possessed shall be of the value of $500 or upward, be imprisoned for not more than 10 years or be fined not more than $7,000, or both; or\n(b) if the property received, bought, or possessed shall be of a value of less than $500, be fined not more than $2,000 or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.
