U.S. Virgin Islands § 3033 — U.S. Virgin Islands law

For the purposes of this chapter:\n(a) The term 'authorized', when used with respect to access to restricted information, means having authority, right or permission pursuant to an order or instruction of the Governor, Attorney General, Police Commissioner or any court of the Government of the Virgin Islands or the Government of the United States.\n(b) The term 'disclose' means to communicate, provide, impart, transmit, transfer, convey, publish or otherwise make available.\n(c) The term 'informer' means any person who furnishes information to an undercover agent in the course of a confidential relationship protecting the identity of such informer from public disclosure and whose identity as such an informer is restricted information.\n(d) The term 'restricted information' means information or material that has been determined by the Governor, the Attorney General or the Police Commissioner to require protection against unauthorized disclosure for reasons of crime prevention or criminal apprehension security.\n(e) The term 'undercover agent' means an officer or employee of the Government of the Virgin Islands whose identity as such an officer or employee is restricted information.
