A person is guilty of a misdemeanor for promoting prison contraband when:\n(1) He knowingly introduces any contraband into a prison or detention facility; or\n(2) Being a person confined in a prison or detention facility, he knowingly makes, obtains or possesses any contraband.\n(3) For the purpose of this section, contraband means any article or thing which a person confined in a prison or detention facility is prohibited from obtaining or possessing by statute, rule, regulation or order.\n(4) For the purpose of this section, alcoholic beverages shall constitute contraband.
