U.S. Virgin Islands § 881 — U.S. Virgin Islands law

Whoever having charge of any steam boiler or steam engine, or other apparatus for generating or employing steam, willfully or from neglect, creates or allows to be created, such an undue quantity of steam as to burst or break the boiler, engine, or apparatus, or to cause any other accident whereby—\n(1) the death of a human being is produced; or\n(2) human life is endangered—\nshall be fined not more than $2,000 or imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.
