(a) Whoever commits voluntary manslaughter shall be imprisoned for not more than ten (10) years, provided, that if such voluntary manslaughter is perpetrated upon a law enforcement officer while such officer is engaged in the performance of his official duties, the perpetrator shall be imprisoned for not less than five (5) years nor more than fifteen (15) years.\n(b) Whoever commits involuntary manslaughter shall be imprisoned not more than 5 years.
