Whoever—\n(1) being authorized to solemnize any marriage, willfully makes a false return of any marriage or pretended marriage to the court;\n(2) contracts such a marriage;\n(3) knowingly takes part in the celebration of such a marriage; or\n(4) makes a false record of any marriage return—\nshall be fined not more than $200 or imprisoned not more than 1 year, or both.
