A riot is—\n(1) any disturbance of the public peace by the use of force or violence to any other person or to property; or\n(2) any threat or attempt to commit such disturbance or to do any unlawful act by the use of force or violence, when accompanied by immediate power of execution—\nby three or more persons acting together and without lawful authority.
