All schools in the Virgin Islands are classified as follows—\n(1) Public schools, which are those supported by Government funds. They shall be organized and administered by the Department of Education;\n(2) Private schools, which are those supported by private funds;\n(3) Parochial and denominational schools, which are those supported by recognized parishes or religious communities, both of high moral standard.
