(a) The clerk of any court which issues a decree of divorce or annulment of marriage in the Virgin Islands shall forward to the Commissioner on or before the 15th day of each calendar month, free of cost, a certified copy of each decree of divorce or annulment of marriage ordered by the court which became final during the preceding calendar month.\n(b) The certificate of divorce or annulment shall contain the following details:\n(1) the given names, surnames, age at last birthday, date and place of birth, race, usual residence, and number of this marriage of husband and wife;\n(2) type of decree (if annulment, so state);\n(3) place and date of final decree;\n(4) place and date of marriage;\n(5) legal grounds for divorce or annulment;\n(6) name of plaintiff;\n(7) party to whom granted;\n(8) number of children affected (under the age of 18 years);\n(9) signature and title of local recording officer; and\n(10) date recorded.
