U.S. Virgin Islands § 1101 — U.S. Virgin Islands law

The Commissioner of Health may—\n(1) establish psychiatric programs for the purpose of research into and aid of methods of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders;\n(2) supervise the administration of those services included in the program which are not administered directly by him;\n(3) provide such methods of administration as are necessary for the effective operation of the program;\n(4) extend and improve local psychiatric services throughout the Virgin Islands;\n(5) cooperate with the Federal Government through its appropriate agency or instrumentality in developing, extending and improving such services; and\n(6) receive and expend all funds made available to the Department of Health by the Federal Government, the Government of the Virgin Islands, or from other sources for such purposes.
