The Commissioner of the Department of Health shall establish a territory-wide autoimmune disease registry for the purpose of recording types of autoimmune diseases diagnosed or treated in the Virgin Islands and compiling necessary and appropriate information concerning those cases as determined by the Department of Health in order to conduct epidemiologic surveys of autoimmune diseases and to apply to appropriate preventive and control measures. The Department of Health shall adopt regulations and procedures as necessary to carry out the mandates of this chapter.
