Any person violating a provision of the subchapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500.00 or imprisonment for a term of not more than six months, or both, such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court, and each violation of this chapter shall constitute a separate offense.
