(a) The Bureau shall carry out a highway safety program in accordance with the Federal Highway Safety Act of 1973 and all other applicable highway safety laws. The Bureau shall have all the powers and duties of the Office of Highway Safety established by Executive Order No. 188–1974, as amended.\n(b) The Bureau is designated as the state agency for receipt of all federal highway safety funds. The Governor shall conform the Bureau, as may be necessary, to meet the requirements for federal funding.
