As used in this chapter the term 'abandoned motor vehicle' means a motor vehicle that is inoperable or over 8 years old or lacks a valid registration sticker and is left unattended on public property for seven days or more, or a motor vehicle that has remained illegally on public property for seven days or more, or a motor vehicle that has remained on private property without the consent of the owner or person in control of such property for seven days or more.
